I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA
I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. On 27th June 2026 I will be walking 10-mile's across 13 iconic bridges in London, to celebrate National Armed Forces Day and raise vital funds to support our Armed Forces Community.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2024 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 50,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.
SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.

Tuesday 23rd Jun🎖️ Please Support Carl’s 13 Bridges Challenge for SSAFA! 🎖️
This weekend, Carl is lacing up his boots and taking on the 13 Bridges Challenge 2026 — a 10-mile walk across 13 iconic London bridges on 27th June, in celebration of National Armed Forces Day.
He’s doing it in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity — a vital organisation that in 2024 alone helped over 50,000 veterans, serving personnel, and their families through some of the toughest moments of their lives. Behind every uniform is a person, and SSAFA is there for that person whenever they need it.
Even a small donation goes a long way — £10 helps keep SSAFA’s confidential Forcesline helpline open, and £20 helps train the volunteer caseworkers who provide hands-on support to Armed Forces families across the UK.
And yes — he’ll be doing all 10 miles of it in the glorious British summer heat. For context, it’s so warm this weekend that even the Thames is considering putting on sunscreen. 🌞
Carl is nearly halfway to his fundraising goal, so every pound genuinely counts. If you can spare even a small amount, please head to his page and show your support:
