13 Bridges Challenge 2027

I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA

I'm proud to be taking part in the 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

On 26 June 2027, I'll be walking 10 miles across 13 iconic London bridges to celebrate National Armed Forces Day and raise funds for the people who serve, or have served, our country and their families.

SSAFA has been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1885. In 2025, the charity helped nearly 51,000 veterans, serving personnel, reservists and family members through its nationwide network of dedicated volunteers and staff.

Military life brings unique challenges, and SSAFA provides practical, emotional and financial support to those facing difficult times. Their work ensures that no member of the Armed Forces community has to face those challenges alone.

If you're able to support my challenge, I'd be incredibly grateful. Together, we can help SSAFA continue making a real difference to the lives of those who have given so much.

Thank you for your support.

My 13 Bridges Challenge for SSAFA 💚

Sunday 11th Oct
Sometimes, our own challenges help us understand just a little more about what others may be going through.

Over the past few years, I've undergone two hip replacements. I know what it's like to live with pain, to have your mobility and independence restricted, and to face the uncertainty of waiting for surgery. I also know that having the operation is only part of the journey. Rehabilitation takes time, patience, determination and the support of others to help you get back to living a normal life.

My journey has certainly tested me, but I am very aware that what I've experienced is nothing in comparison to the challenges faced by many serving military personnel, veterans and their families.

Those who serve our country can face life-changing injuries, physical and emotional challenges, and long journeys of recovery. Their families can face difficulties of their own, often while trying to provide support and strength to the people they love.

That's why I've decided to challenge myself by taking part in the 13 Bridges Challenge for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

For me, this is about more than crossing bridges. It's about recognising the courage and resilience of others, pushing myself to do something meaningful, and giving something back to those who have given so much.

I know there will be challenges along the way, but with the encouragement of my wonderful friends and family, I hope to turn my own determination into something that can make a real difference to others.

💚 I'd love you to be part of my journey.

Every donation, however small, will help SSAFA continue supporting our Armed Forces community when they need it most. If you're unable to donate, sharing my fundraising page would be just as appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who encourages me, supports me and helps spread the word. It means so much to know that together, we can help make a difference.

One challenge. Thirteen bridges. One very important cause.

Let's do this! 💚
