I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA
I am taking part in 13 Bridges Challenge in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. On 27th June 2026 I will be walking 10-mile's across 13 iconic bridges in London, to celebrate National Armed Forces Day and raise vital funds to support our Armed Forces Community.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2024 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 50,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.
SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.

Friday 26th Jun Am I going to make it to the ferry today? I bought a ticket because I read (and checked online) that very tickets for that popular route sell out. So I, got one for next morning.
Day 3 Amiens - Hesdin
Friday 26th Jun Iallowed myself to explore beautiful Amiens this morning before I hit the road again. Couldn't believe to be spoiled with nicely rideable surface alongside a canal. Enjoying shadow and surface. There are not many restaurants along the route, so use what i
Day 2 Chaumontel - Amiens
Monday 22nd Jun First full day in the saddle. Mais ça roule pas. Heavy gravel roads, very bad surfaces demand all my energy and attention. It takes me long to do the 130km. Along the road: beautiful places like Chantilly and Beauvais. I take it all in and keep on pedaling. Share
