There can undoubtably be more walking than running if this suits you.

Both races are run on the same day (24th Jan) with slightly different routes and long cut-off times.

Arriving this late is unadvisable but if you have a delay please contact us as soon as you can and we will work with you to manage transfer from the airport to the venue.

Temperatures in Lapland can range from –25°C to +3°C, so appropriate cold‑weather gear is essential. The official kit list will cover all required and recommended items to keep you safe and comfortable in varying conditions. The kit list will be sent to you once you have registered - there will be nothing unexpected in the kit list.

How do I get in shape for this event?

add remove

Follow any standard half‑marathon or marathon training programme. The key focus should be time on feet, not speed. Consistency and endurance are more important than pace.

I’m worried about being the slowest and holding up the event.

add remove

There will be some safety‑based cut‑off times, but these will be as relaxed as possible. The team is committed to helping every participant reach the finish line — and remember, the last finisher always gets the loudest cheers!

  • Fundraising materials and resources
  • Guidance and ongoing support throughout your challenge journey

Supporter Attendance

Can my supporters come with me?

add remove

We love that you have people who are so dedicated that they want to come with you to cheer you on!

However, you (or they) will need to book flights and accommodation for the full trip as they cannot stay at the bunkbarn on the first night.

Your supporters will also need their own transport to get to the start and finish lines and will not be able to access the checkpoints.

This is a very beautiful area and there are lots of accommodation options so extending your stay with friends is a great idea - visit Santa or get a little skiing in before you go home.
