I am taking part in Rome Marathon 2026 in support of SSAFA

I am taking part in Rome Marathon in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity on 22nd March 2026.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2024 their trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 50,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.

SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And they are here for that person and their family, any time they need and in any way they need them.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to run for such an amazing charity, and I’m excited to be running my first marathon in one of my favourite cities. Every donation counts, thank you to everyone who contributes!

Rome Marathon 🇮🇹

Sunday 29th Mar
Couldn’t of picked a better place to do my first🏃 Sub 4 wasn’t meant to be this time but ecstatic regardless and something to aim for. £1700 raised for a great charity, thank you to everyone that donated and for all the well wishes❤️

Week 18/19 Of Training Block

Wednesday 18th Mar
Week 18 and the last run before race day done! Been a great but tough 19 weeks and can’t wait to get out there now.

Week 17 Of Training Block

Wednesday 11th Mar
Another week ticked off. Good 24k with the boys to finish off the last of the longer runs. Hit the donation target too, massive thank you to everyone that’s donated❤️

Week 16 Of The Training Block

Saturday 28th Feb
Solid week, final over 30k of the block done, felt really strong. Ran from Rainham to Faversham, massive kudos to Chris for joining and completing it. Taper down from now, 3 weeks to go.

Week 14 and 15 of Training Block

Saturday 21st Feb
Week 14 was a nice deload week and week 15 was the toughest yet. 51.1k ticked off for the week. Hit all the pace targets for the 17k section and managed to get the last 7 done but the last couple were absolute hell, complete opposite of last week but that’s running. Toughest runs out the way now, easy pace 33 next week and then taper down from there.

Week 13 of Training Block

Saturday 7th Feb
Really strong week, absolutely buzzing with the 30k, best run I’ve done so far. Harry joining for the first 18k helped massively then hitting all but 1 of the pace targets for the last 12k. 2/3 of the way on the donations as well so massive thank you to everyone who’s donated so far❤️

Saturday 7th Feb
Week 11 started very solid but flopped the long run as shoe split, but very good week 12. Great 22k with the boys on the Saturday.

Tuesday 20th Jan
Good week all round, 26k was an absolute killer but got it done. Big week ahead. Over halfway there on fundraising too, thank you to everyone who’s donated so far❤️

Week 9/19 of training block

Tuesday 6th Jan
Currently on week 9/19 on my Runna training block. Feeling strong after a rough week or so with the flu. Absolutely ecstatic to have been able to get a place with such a great charity and looking forward to hopefully ticking off a bucket list event🏃
